Whether as a decorative piece or a toy, this spinning top, measuring 6 cm in length and 4.5 cm in diameter, is unique and testifies to the masterful work of Indian artisans from our trading partner ASHA.
Raising awareness of fair trade and expanding the market for Indian handicrafts – that is the declared goal of the Indian fair trade organization Fair Gift.
Founded in 2013, the organization now works with around 15 producer groups in southern India who manufacture wooden cutlery such as rice spoons and incense sticks, toys, ceramics, textiles, and palm sugar, among other things. In addition to marketing and selling their handicraft products, Fair Gift also supports producers in design and product development, as well as in matters relating to packaging and exporting goods.
