The drill line spinning top has a line drive which is rarely used anymore. For this purpose one line is taken twice. The spinning top is hooked into the resulting loop and turned on.
This twists the line. By pulling the ends of the string apart, you accelerate the spinning top and set it down in the month in which the string has been completely unwound and the string is stretched horizontally.
A number of different spinning tops have been created according to this principle. The model here is
dismountable. The swing body is turned from plastic. On the underside a metal disc is embedded in order to achieve a higher weight and thus more centrifugal mass.
The axle is made of aluminium, with rubber rings. The knurled nuts are made of galvanised steel. For a high mileage a steel ball is embedded in the tip. A cotton cord is supplied.
